“I Release All That No Longer Serves Me”

The Power of Letting Go

I once carried outdated stories and beliefs that had protected me in the past—but I now know they were limiting me. Everything began to shift when I made a conscious decision to release people, stories, and identities that no longer served my highest good. By doing so, I unconsciously made an energetic declaration for my experience and growth.

In my personal journey of rewriting my life story, which I share in my blog My Life Story, I had to let go of so much to become who I am in this present moment. I have learned that rewriting my life story is a continuous process of releasing in order to become more aligned with my authentic self.

Why Releasing Is a Sacred Practice

The beliefs I came to experience—and eventually release—whether ancestral, cultural, societal, or karmic, have shaped my journey of transformation. Through my work in Soul Realignment, I discovered that many of these beliefs were inherited through my paternal and maternal lines and were embedded in my DNA.

The emotional, energetic, and spiritual weight of holding onto these old beliefs and patterns made life feel heavy and stuck. But as I committed to raising my vibration through inner work, self-reflection, and self-love, I began to let go of what no longer served me. These beliefs would also surface in my personal Life Situation Readings, so I could clearly see what I was releasing—and how long these beliefs had existed within my ancestral lineage.

I came to understand that many of these beliefs, thoughts, and behaviours were really just survival patterns—coping mechanisms I once thought were keeping me safe. And yet, life felt repetitive. I found myself living through the same experiences over and over again—only the scenery had changed.

My first awakening came not through another person, but when I heard Dr. Joe Dispenza speak at a one-day event in Sydney, Australia in 1999. He shared that the Divine lives within us. That moment stirred something in my heart and began my journey of finding the Divine within and leaning into soul-aligned truths rather than survival-based habits.

What Beliefs Am I Ready to Release?

We often think that letting go of a limiting belief or pattern has to be something dramatic or life changing. But in my journey of transformation, the beliefs I began to release were not always “big”—yet they had a profound impact on my healing.

Here are some examples:

  • “I have to do it all alone.”
I often felt I had to do everything myself. I rarely asked for support. But when I did reach out, it was to my Guardian Angel, the Universe, and Divine Source. Letting go of the need to do everything on my own was not easy—but the rewards were beautiful. I began to trust that I was taken care of and that things would get done, often in ways that left me in awe.

  • “I am not ready yet.”
When I began my current work, I believed I needed to be more knowledgeable and experienced. I was not even ready to use my name publicly. Securing the domain name for my website with my name was a massive step. Following a coaching session with my own coach, I took that leap—and doors started to open. I realised that when I acted from a soul-aligned place, the path would unfold, and joy would radiate from within me.

  • “If I let go, everything will fall apart.”
For a long time, I believed that if I stopped controlling everything, my life would collapse. Personally, and professionally, I pushed myself too hard. But as I began to let go of the outcome—and the timeline—I found myself relaxing more into my authentic self. The act of letting go and the experience of becoming who I truly am began to happen simultaneously.

I invite you to reflect with radical self-honesty and compassion on the beliefs and patterns you KNOW are rooted in a need for security but are no longer aligned with your soul’s truth.

Reflections That Support the Journey of Release

When situations arise that force me to pause and reflect, I now ask myself:

  • What patterns or behaviours keep repeating that no longer align with who I am becoming?

I identify loops that I am ready to break.

  • What belief about myself or the world feels heavy or limiting?

I shine light on the silent weights I have been carrying.

  • Who would I be without this belief?

I begin to envision the self that exists beyond my old stories.

  • How does my body feel when I imagine letting it go?

I notice how it feels to hold on—and how freeing it is to release.

  • What new truth am I ready to embrace instead?

I anchor a new frequency by making new, aligned choices. I step out of my comfort zone and into a more empowered version of myself.

Rewriting my life story is an ongoing process, but I have come to understand its phases—and how I can create a new experience from within.

Integration Tips – How to Let Go Gracefully

Some of the simple rituals I use to release include:

  • Writing and meditation.

  • Affirmation: “I am safe to release. I am ready to rise.”

  • Create space each day to invite in new beliefs and soul-aligned truths.

Your Soul Knows When It is Time

My experience has shown that releasing is not a loss—it is a return to my authentic self.

The choice to release is always mine. I can choose not to—and that would create a completely different experience of my journey. But when I do choose to release, I honour the sacredness of this process. I keep it ongoing. I keep it intentional.
